Event Details

The Willamette Heritage Center’s latest educational program, History in the News, connects past and present by exploring topics in today’s headlines in a historical context. On the third Thursday of each month, hear the thoughts of Mid-Valley historians, professors, and other intellectuals, and then weigh in with your own thoughts. The topic of each discussion will be determined just 10 days prior, and will be pulled straight from the headlines. Check our website, social media, and your email for the announcement!

Food and drink will be available to purchase from Taproot Lounge & Cafe.

Admission is FREE and open to the public. History in the News is presented in part by a grant from Oregon Humanities, and in partnership with KMUZ Community Radio, Salem City Club, and the Statesman Journal.
