Bush House Museum & Deepwood Museum
The Bush House Museum and nearby Deepwood Museum & Gardens, team up for two Sunday afternoons of free admission, holiday decorations, live music, light refreshments and kids crafts! The Bush House Museum will feature Victorian inspired decorations and small displays, on the history of Christmas and winter in Salem, all sponsored by Pioneer Trust Bank. Deepwood hosts Santa Claus in the Solarium along with self-guided tours of the museum and hostesses in Victorian clothing. The Bush Barn Art Center joins the fun with Holiday Showcase and other delights! Throughout December the Bush House Museum is collecting new and gently used blankets, bedding and towels for Helping Hands Resources. This event is free and open to the public.
Bush House Museum is open through December 18 for guided tours Wednesday-Sunday at 1, 2, 3 and 4 pm. The Museum will not be open in January and February to complete restoration and collection care projects. The Bush House Museum will reopen for guided tours on Wednesday, March 1 with enhanced interpretive and educational programming.
