David Barker is a widely published poet and author of short stories, novels and non-fiction. He was involved in the Southern California small press poetry scene of the 1970s, which he described in his 1982 memoir, Charles Bukowski Spit in My Face. David’s writing has appeared in many chapbooks, small press magazines and anthologies since the 1970s. His latest poetry chapbooks are Opal’s Trails and Paris Poems . In addition to his mainstream poetry, David has written horror genre poetry and fiction since the 1980s. He collaborated with W. H. Pugmire on two books of horror fiction: The Revenant of Rebecca Pascal and In the Gulfs of Dream & Other Lovecraftian Tales both published by Dark Renaissance Books. Their collaborative horror novel Witches in Dreamland is forthcoming from Hippocampus Press. In collaboration with Jordan Hofer, David has written two nonfiction books about UFOs: Little Gray Bastards and Unidentifiable Flying Objects . David and his wife, Judy, live in Salem, Oregon.
