About Bountiful Pies
Bountiful Pies is a local West Salem pie company, baking handmade artisan pies to order. Over the past 30 years , Julie has been baking state fair, award winning pies, for countless family gatherings and events. She loves experimenting with different flavors, and is committed to using only the freshest, highest quality ingredients that set her pies apart from just any ol’pie. She uses all butter crust, purchases her fruits locally, uses farm fresh eggs from free-range chickens and locally grown and milled flour from Shepherd’s Grain. You can taste the difference! We hope you enjoy eating Bountiful Pies as much as we enjoy baking them!
About Pi Day
Pi Day is a fun take on the mathematical constant used in the calculation of the ratio of the circumference to the diameter of a circle. or Pi is a Greek letter of the alphabet used to represent this ratio of 3.14159. This is why we celebrate Pi Day on March 14th because the date is 3-1-4, or the first three numbers of Pi. In the English language, Pi and Pie are homonyms and that is the reason we like to eat pie on Pi Day. In 2009, the US House of Representatives recognized March 14th as National Pi Day.
