Drive-Thru Trick-or-Treat at the Willamette Heritage Center
Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020 • Noon – 5 p.m.
Free for Families!
Robots, super heroes, and princesses unite!
The Willamette Heritage Center (WHC) will be holding a socially-distanced, COVID-safe event for families to enjoy trick-or-treating from the safety of their own vehicles. From noon to 5 p.m., guests will be invited to drive through the WHC parking lot where the “Candy Crew” — local businesses, non-profits, and individuals — will pass out candy with 6’ poles to maintain social distancing.
Entrance to the event will be off 14th Street SE, just north of Mill Street, and will follow a one-way path through the WHC parking lot. Candy will be distributed on the passenger side of each vehicle. The event is drive-thru only; no trick-or-treaters or members of the “Candy Crew” will be able to walk on site to help maintain COVID-19 safety protocols. The “Candy Crew” will be wearing gloves for distributing candy.
“Drive-Thru Trick-or-Treat” is free to the public thanks to our generous sponsors: Highway Trailer Sales, The H Group Inc., Farmers Insurance — Corey Benson Agency, Ram Steelco, Salem Fiberarts Guild, Kraft Custom Construction and MAPS Credit Union.
Our “Candy Crew” will include: Willamette Humane Society, The Quarry, Santiam Equine/Little Critters Rescue, Snuggly Toes, Lord & Schryver, The Caboose Crew, Doty Pruett Wilson, Willamette Valley Pie Co., Grant Neighborhood Association, City of Salem Police Department, Action Auto Body, Grove, Mueller, & Swank, Salvation Army Kroc Center, Deepwood Museum & Gardens, CASA of Marion County, BR Konexion, Edward Jones, Catholic Community Services, and Salem Fire Department.
