Celebrate sustainability and environmental awareness at EcoFest, a FREE, family-friendly outdoor festival at Salem’s Riverfront Park on Saturday, June 17. Presented by the Straub Environmental Center, the City of Salem and Capitol Subaru, EcoFest offers an opportunity for all ages to learn about nature and how to take care of the environment in fun, interactive ways. EcoFest will showcase earth-friendly products and services; educational displays and activities; a Green Energy Area highlighting renewable energy and alternative-fueled cars; an Eco Adventure Area with a rock climbing wall and an obstacle course for kids; yoga classes; music; educational performances; and variety of craft beers and wines. A $5 donation at the entrance will support local environmental education programs.
