TENDERS OF THE FEET, A play with music by Ciji Guerin, Music by Hal Logan, Directed by Michelle Seaton
In an adult fairytale world where the beauty of a person’s feet and the glamour of their shoes determines how they fit into society, Celerity, a half-mad, big-footed misfit, hides shamefaced in the depths of an uninhabited forest. When her highly-favored half-sister comes of age, Celerity returns home, expecting her to be presented to society in golden shoes. However, when society chooses not to allow the family’s favored daughter to be presented at all, Celerity discovers that nothing in her family is as it has seemed. She confronts the hard truths that caused her to doubt her own mind in the first place and faces a challenge that will either enable her to become a part of society or leave her wandering madly through the forest for the remainder of her life. This production features live music and choral singers.
