Wish you could brew your own beer at home? Now is your chance to learn from Salem Ale Works Master Brewer, Justin Ego, and WHC Executive Director, Bob Reinhardt!
By the end of class, you’ll be able to brew one-gallon batches of beer without (too much!) special equipment, inspired by the Mid-Valley’s long history of beer. Students will observe and participate in the different stages of the brewing process, sample beer from from Salem Ale Works, and leave the class with brewing instructions, a grain package to get them started at home, and a better understanding of the history of beer brewing.
Preregistration is required at willametteheritage.org/classes-workshops/ no later than Thursday, November 17th.
Registration costs $45 for WHC members and $50 for non-members. There is an additional $30 materials for members and $40 for non-members, payable at the time of the class.
Our Urban Homesteaders series is sponsored by O’Neill Pine Company.
