Willamette University’s Dramatic Vocal Arts program is thrilled to produce the west coast premiere of the new chamber opera Town Hall by composer Theo Popov, and librettist – and distinguished Willamette alumna – E.M. Lewis. A bit of background and synopsis of the work, provided by E.M. Lewis and Theo Popov: In a small town, somewhere in America, a community gathers to ask their senator questions about the politics of the day. The opera will be staged in Smith Auditorium on the Willamette University campus from March 7th-10th.
